Gorilla Caesarean birth for pre-eclampsia

A baby Western lowland gorilla was born at Bristol Zoo (February 2016) by emergency Caesarean. The surgeon David Cahill is Professor of OBGYN at Bristol University. The Caesarean was required because the mother was developing signs of pre-eclampsia.
