Insufficient evidence to support annual pelvic examinations

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force has concluded in a draft report that for asymptomatic, non-pregnant adult women, “current evidence is insufficient to assess the balance of benefits and harms of performing screening pelvic examinations.”
