Tongue-tie

In February, the UK the National Childbirth Trust, a maternity charity, called for facilities for assessment and treatment of tongue-tie (ankyloglossia) to help breast-feeding to be made widely available in the NHS.

However, a pilot trial funded by the National Institute for Health Research, showed no improvement in short term breast-feeding LATCH scores after tongue-tie division.
